As you come over the bridge onto Snead Island you instantly understand what the locals mean by "Old Florida Charm." Snead Island is a small island in Palmetto consisting of approximately 800 homes, surrounded by 3 bodies of water and connected by a small bridge.
This home features an open kitchen with granite countertops and hardwood cabinets, Stainless Steel appliances, breakfast bar and room for an eatin kitchen area. There is ceramic tile throughout the home and once you open up the front door, the home is alot more spacious than it appears from the outside. you will be plentily surprised.
The French doors from the living room bring you out to your Zen Garden in the back with beautiful mature landscaping and plenty of room for to add a pool if you desire . The Air conditioner was replaced in 2020, The house has a deep well/ pump and connected to a garden sprinkling system. (Sprinkling system not in use). The house has aluminum hurricane shutters with clip on buttons for each opening
The home is located on a dead end street at the end of a cul-de-sac within a cluster of 9 homes and backs up to a wooded area.
(Talk about Social Distancing) This neighborhood has a community dock/fishing pier right on the Manatee River for owners to enjoy the sunsets, relax and enjoy Mother Nature, do a little fishing, or drop a kayak or canoe. pick up folks on your boat. There are several marinas and boat storage options nearby. What more could you ask for? This community is near Emerson Point Preserve, which has access to a small beach and locals and tourist go and enjoy the western views allowing for sunsets all year round or enjoy the miles of nature and bike trials, kayak drop area into the mangroves, an observation tower with miles and miles of views to enjoy, tropical and exotic birds, turtles and fish. Plenty of public parking and a dog friendly beach. Do not be surprised if you see folks driving their golf carts around or riding a horse around the island. Folks say good morning as they ride their bikes or walk their dogs. There are No Mandatory HOA fees to worry about on Snead Island, dues are voluntary and if you want to join they are $20/year. This is the charm of Old Florida. The owner's favorite event occurs in December where the island residents all get together and light sand bags filled with small candles along all the streets. The entire island is lite by candles and there are small neighborhood street gatherings throughout the island. Great way for you to get to know your neighbors. Once you visit you may not want to leave! Downtown Palmetto is a few mins drive away, downtown Bradenton is a 5-10 mins away, downtown Sarasota 30 mins, St Pete is 25 mins north, Tampa is 45 mins away. Easy access to both I-75 and 295 from here.
